Tara Car Rentals — Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy explains when cancellations and refunds are allowed for bookings made with Tara Car Rentals (“Company”). By booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Cancellation Policy

• Renter-initiated cancellations: A renter may cancel a booking only if the reservation fee or security deposit has not yet been received by Tara Car Rentals.
• Once the reservation fee or security deposit is paid and received, cancellations are no longer allowed and any such payment is non-refundable.
• Host-initiated cancellations: If a host cancels a confirmed booking for any reason, the renter will be notified and may choose to rebook with an available vehicle or obtain a refund (see Section 2).

2. Refund Policy

• Eligible refunds: If a host cancels a confirmed booking, the renter is entitled to a full refund of any reservation fee or security deposit paid.
• How refunds are processed: Refunds are issued to the original payment method (e.g., GCash, bank transfer) within 1-3 business days.
• Non-refundable cases: Payments made by the renter are non-refundable if the renter initiates cancellation after payment is received, including late cancellations, no-shows, or unused rental periods.

3. Modifications

• Date or booking changes requested by the renter are subject to host/vehicle availability and approval.
• Approved changes may be subject to updated rates, fees, or additional charges.

4. Force Majeure

Neither the Company, the host, nor the renter will be liable for cancellations or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, serious accidents, power or network outages). The Company will work in good faith toward a fair resolution, which may include refunds or rebooking assistance as applicable.
